It is his position as keyboard player and musical arranger for Steel Pulse that has placed Sidney Mills among reggae’s prominent musicians…”
(1975 – present) Probably the UK’s most highly-regarded roots reggae outfit, Steel Pulse originally formed at Handsworth Wood Boys School, Birmingham, and comprised David Hinds(lead vocals, guitar), Basil Gabbidon (lead guitar, vocals) and Ronnie McQueen (bass). #STEELPULSE

Sidney ‘Predator’ Mills has become an integral part of the Steel Pulse line-up since he joined the band on keyboards in 1988. Born in London, England in 1959, the youngest of thirty-one children, Sidney moved to live in Happy Grove, St Thomas, Jamaica in the late sixties. He spent most of his formative years in that eastern parish but moved to Kingston in his teens where he attended Kingston College, getting into music by hanging out with bandleader Sonny Bradshaw and playing in a band called Outer Limits…….
