One of those new people who joined BDP was Sidney Mills who came in around 1988. He was one of the producers of this reggae jam ‘Telephone Lover.’ This record was disgustingly huge! At the same time I was producing Sly & Robbie, major reggae artists that did every reggae beat that you could imagine. I’m in the studio working with them and they were lending me ideas, and samples and basslines and all kind of craziness. And in addition to that, I had my own set-up in my basement…the SP-1200 is in full effect! …”

O tecladista Sidney ’ Predator ’ Mills transformou-se numa parte integral da formação do Steel Pulse desde que juntou á banda tocando os teclados em 1988. Nascido em Londres, Inglaterra em 1959, o mais novo de trinta e uma crianças, Sidney mudou-se para Jamaica no final dos anos 1960. Mudou-se então para Nova Yorque em 1981 e tocou com a renomada banda Calabash Band e tocou no revestimento protetor da banda A-Team Band com celebridades tais como Shabba Ranks, Judy Mowatt, Beres Hammond e Queen Latifah, para nomear alguns.

Sidney Mills was born in the UK in 1959 and moved to Jamaica as a child. He was raised in the Saint Thomas Parish and became a musician from an early age he moved to Kingston the late sixties. Sidney attended Kings College kingston where he matured as a musician under the tutelage of the likes of Sonny Bradshaw. In 1981 he moved to NYC sharing the stage with some of the big names in reggae such as…..
